The Holiday Rush.
The other thing that wears me out is making Christmas goodies. You have to be quick around here or Caitty will eat all the cookie dough both in the container and on the tray. But if you think that once the Cookie is cooked you are in big trouble. She waits behind you as you pull them out and will take then right off the tray. One for her and one for the dog. Needless to say you make a lot of cookies and Caitty ends up not getting sick. But the dog ends up gaining a lot of weight. The poor fatty.
Well Joel and I had decided earlier this year that there was this family in the ward that might need a little extra help with "Santa". Cause we all know that some times Santa needs a few good elves. :) . Any way we had decided to take some stuff to them tonight and leave a little note saying that Santa's slay was full and that he needed a little extra room and that they couldn't open the gifts until Christmas morning. Well Joel's knee has been giving him some problems with the cold weather and he was the elf that got drafted into doing the door bell ditch. Poor guy was running like his life depended on it. Even though the side walks are pretty bad around here he managed to make it back to the truck laughing the whole way. I don't think I have ever seen some one try to run really fast while looking at his feet (try to imagine a speed walker and that is pretty close to what it looked like). It made the hectic picture taking session earlier that night worth it.
After that we took the last batch of goodies to our friends in their new home. Well Joel and me were looking around the house when the friends little chihuahua, otherwise known as a small rat, bit Joel on the back of the calf. It was so funny because none of us knew that the little thing was hiding behind the door. For some reason that little rat hates Joel with all three of its remaining life's. Well just in case any one of you was worried about Joel, the dog didn't draw blood but it gave him a good bruise, a small bruise the size of a chihuahua's mouth.
Any way we hope every one is ready for Christmas and not feeling to rushed or running around to much. Hope that every one has a wonderful Christmas and great new year.

Forgot the Camera.
Tuesday Caitty and I went to our friends home, Kyla Erickson, and made sugar cookies with her and her two wonderful kids and the Degraw family and Witlock Family (Kaci got to stay home with Dad and have Daddy daughter time). It was a lot of fun. Caitty mostly played and ate the cookie dough but she really enjoyed hanging out with all the kids that are around her age.
The funny part was once we had the cookies made and they were getting ready to decorate Caitty decided to join in more this time. Keep in mind she has already ate the cookie dough which I didn't want her to do because she had been really sick for two days. As most of the kids were starting to icing the cookies Caitty would take the icing off the cookies and then icing them again only to continue to pick off the icing and the sprinkles that she put on. So we took the cookies home for Dad to eat sense she had eating way to much frosting.
And now next week after her Dr appointment we get to make cookies at home with Daddy. Hopefully I will make enough frosting and remember to use the camera.

blessings
Well Thanksgiving has come and gone in the blink of the eye. I can't believe it is December all ready. With the leaving of Thanksgiving it came clear to our family how truely blessed we are in so many ways. We have been blessed above and beyond any thing we can imagine let alone list in a small peice of paper. The biggest blessings that we can think of is our families, our friends and our lovely girls with good health. It is quite hard though during the holiday season to be so far away from all our family members but it is a great confort to know that no matter what we have the greatest blessing of all to be a family together through all eternity. How amazing is that? There are so many around us that don't understand that concept. We hope every one had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great Christmas.

Dog door.
Caitty has also learned how to pull off the thing that blocks the dog door to keep the dog and wind out so now she can escape when ever she feels like it.
One of her preschool teachers husband had parked in the parking lot by the house and was just having a good-ol laugh at Caitty as she kept going in and out of the dog door. He thought that it was very inventive.

Halloween
At one of the trunks a family was passing out helium filled balloons, which Caitty loves balloons it doesn't matter what color. And they gave her a yellow one and she was playing with it, it had been tied to her wrist, and really having a good old time with this balloon then all of a sudden you just here this blood curdling yell coming from her and you look at her and she is just screaming "No!!!" and pointing at the balloon that was floating off. It was so bad. She was crushed. This little girl tried to give Caitty her balloon to have her stop crying. But Uncle Kevin was nice enough to give up his balloon to her. But she wasn't happy with just one any more she kept on trying to grab the kids blue balloon that was tied to his truck so he thought he could find her off with candy which she just kept giving back until he gave her the balloon. We then tied the balloons to her out fit and the world was right again. It is amazing what a balloon or two will solve for you.
Caitty made it home with most of her candy after her mommy took out the gum and is slowly working on it. Some days she remembers it is there and then there are other days were she could care less and is still trying to eat 4 apples a day from Grandma Netty's and Grandpa Craig's. Crazy kid. And I thought that you took kids trick-or-treating so the parents got the candy what a bummer when they don't share.

Hanging with the Walks
Caitty learned how to help her self to brownies even when mommy said no. And she also learned how to open the door and let in the dogs when no one wanted them in at the moment. She found the piano for the first time and it always seems to surprise me on how much she likes to play with pianos. She learned a little about how to climb on a TV tray, the proper way of how to feed fish (NO Oreo's) , and that Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jessica will let you eat off their plate. She still loves Pappa and Grandma's fans. She thinks there great. It was fun to watch her play in front of them. She also got to walk on the tread mill with Pappa, unfortunately she didn't learn how to keep up she just wanted to go off the edge.
