My ear

Well Shadow has now learned that he can't hang out around Kaci with out getting hair pulled. He was at first looking for food from her hands but he soon realized that she didn't have any thing so he laid down by her and was rudely awoken to her grabbing and pulling on his ear. Not only did he just take it but she did this a couple of times before he moved on to see that Caitty was eating bread and hoped to get some away from her. What a dog. Kaci enjoyed this little game though for some time.

Spices

So I am always wondering why I run out of pepper so fast. Well the other day Caitty showed me why we buy a lot of pepper. She also likes to dump out flower, floor powder and baby rice cereal and powder. She is getting to good at opening any type of container. Smart one.

Caitty...

Here is Caitty's oppinion on polotics and other worldly questions ready....

Dog door.

Dog door, I am not quite sure why we have one other then it came with the house and you would have to get a new door in general which I wouldn't mind, but we are finding out that it is a great for keeping Caitty and Shadow busy.

Caitty has also learned how to pull off the thing that blocks the dog door to keep the dog and wind out so now she can escape when ever she feels like it.

One of her preschool teachers husband had parked in the parking lot by the house and was just having a good-ol laugh at Caitty as she kept going in and out of the dog door. He thought that it was very inventive.

Answering Machine

How would of thought that an Answering Machine would be so funny?

Halloween

Well Halloween was a lot more fun this year we did trunk-or-treat in Fruitland. Caitty caught on to the concept that when you go to the trunks of the cars and smile people give you candy and tell you how cute you look. What person doesn't like a nice comment? Any way Pappa and Grandma Walk joined us in the crowed and Kaci mostly slept through the whole thing in the back of the trunk of the car. She was dressed in a bear costume that later was said to be a mouse costume from the three blind mice sense it was missing a tail. :)

At one of the trunks a family was passing out helium filled balloons, which Caitty loves balloons it doesn't matter what color. And they gave her a yellow one and she was playing with it, it had been tied to her wrist, and really having a good old time with this balloon then all of a sudden you just here this blood curdling yell coming from her and you look at her and she is just screaming "No!!!" and pointing at the balloon that was floating off. It was so bad. She was crushed. This little girl tried to give Caitty her balloon to have her stop crying. But Uncle Kevin was nice enough to give up his balloon to her. But she wasn't happy with just one any more she kept on trying to grab the kids blue balloon that was tied to his truck so he thought he could find her off with candy which she just kept giving back until he gave her the balloon. We then tied the balloons to her out fit and the world was right again. It is amazing what a balloon or two will solve for you.

Caitty made it home with most of her candy after her mommy took out the gum and is slowly working on it. Some days she remembers it is there and then there are other days were she could care less and is still trying to eat 4 apples a day from Grandma Netty's and Grandpa Craig's. Crazy kid. And I thought that you took kids trick-or-treating so the parents got the candy what a bummer when they don't share.

Hanging out withe the Culvers

It is always nice when we go home that we get to see both sides of the family. We got t o see Courtney most likely for the last time for a while sense in January she will be off to school in Rexburg. Poor Kevin will be all alone with Hank. Hank is Kevin's dog. Any way it was nice to see her and Ty when he could come home form going to BSU. I think though next year we will have to use Courtneys Halloween costume idea. She suggested that we have Caitlyn as a curly fry Kaci as a tater tot and Hunter (Caittys friend when we go home) as a crinkle fry and she can go as the Orida princess sense that is were she is working at the moment but how cute would that be?! It is sad to think of how long of a drive it is to go see family and around this time of the year every one likes to be closer. But the girls got to enjoy some spoiling with Grandma Netty and Grandpa Craig. And hopefully we will be able to see them sooner then later. Ya never know any more.

Carving Pumpkins

What is Halloween like with out the pumpkins? Well Caitty is still a little to young to carve a pumpkin but she got to color all over it using markers back in Fruitland. She loved it and Courtney and Kevin were having a fun time with theirs. Courtney has two sides, one side is a "pocket full of sunshine" just for Ty and the other is a face. And Kevin carved his own face. Joel went all out and carved a wolf crying at the moon. Not bad but he has a lot of patients for stuff like that.
Before we left we painted to ones that we had. She love to color and paint on them and it is so funny to watch her try to cover every little spot. And boy does she not like it when you add stuff to her pumpkin and trust me they are all hers.

The picture above were taken in Worland just before we left. Her preschool teacher dropped off two pumpkins just for her. I wanted to paint a face on this one and Caitty decided it wasn't good enough so she painted over it for me. She is a much better artist then me so it works out just fine. :)

Hanging with the Walks

The best thing about going and seeing family is watching the girls getting to know every one. We got to meet Uncle Doug from the first time and Kaci meet Aunt Jessica for the first time so there was lots of first.
Caitty learned how to help her self to brownies even when mommy said no. And she also learned how to open the door and let in the dogs when no one wanted them in at the moment. She found the piano for the first time and it always seems to surprise me on how much she likes to play with pianos. She learned a little about how to climb on a TV tray, the proper way of how to feed fish (NO Oreo's) , and that Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jessica will let you eat off their plate. She still loves Pappa and Grandma's fans. She thinks there great. It was fun to watch her play in front of them. She also got to walk on the tread mill with Pappa, unfortunately she didn't learn how to keep up she just wanted to go off the edge.

Kaci and Caitty got to meet Uncle Doug for the first time.

Pappa putting Kaci to sleep. Ahhhh.

To tell you all the truth we were a little worried about how the girls would handle the long ride home. We know that if Caitty has her DVD player then she is okay. But a few days before we went home it broke with a little help from our princess. We had looked at the players here and they weren't very good for the price that they were, so we thought we would go home and get one. Well when we got home we forgot to get one so she had to go home and back here to Worland with out a TV. But she did really good. WE sat in the middle and talked with her and read books and played with her fairies.

We did find out though that Kaci gets car sick. Not fun. The poor thing was miserable for part of the time. But she did handle it well for not feeling well. And obviously they both took naps. Neither one looks very comfortable though.

Boise Zoo

When we went back to see our family we got to go to the Boise Zoo with Greg and Carol Walk. Here Pappa Walk is holding Kaci as they look at some monkeys. I think they were both enjoying the warmth at the moment, not to mention the monkey that caught their eyes.
Some Pictures from the Zoo.

Riding the Marry-go-round with Dad.
The Monkey that caught Caitty and Kaci's eye.
Looking at the new Giraffe with Daddy.
Driving a jeep at the zoo with Grandma Walk.

Our family except for Kaci and me. Kaci was asleep and I took the picture. We all needed a break from walking around the zoo. We saw a lot of animals and the new safari section that they added at the zoo was well done. We enjoyed the Jeep and fossils that were every where. Caitty also really enjoyed the Giraffe slide and play area along with the merry-go-round.

Walk Family

It is always nice going home to see family and sense we wont be able to go home for Thanksgiving or Christmas we decided to make a blog were our families get to see the girls and what they are up to.

It was nice to go home and see every one. The trip is long but it is worth it. 12 hours in a car with a three month old and a two year old can drive you crazy some times but they did really good in the car. They were both excited to get out of it as well. Can't blame them though.

Later on we will have to post more pictures of our trip. We had lots of good times.
